Scheduled Maintenance

Essential Network Infrastructure Works | W/C 29/06/26 | Services at risk Jun 29, 2026 08:00 - Jul 6, 2026 08:00 BST

Please be aware that in order to keep our infrastructure up to date and secure, Digital Services will be completing significant maintenance works to upgrade the University’s wired and wireless networks between Monday 29th June and Sunday 5th July, across all campus sites.

We will make every effort to limit the impact of these works, however University networks and the services that rely upon them should be considered "at-risk" across the full timeframe.

We aim to further reduce any risk to services by completing the majority of works outside of core working and teaching hours across the week.

Please note that the Glide network providing internet connections to our residences will be unaffected by these works.

Maintenance to Vevox System
Completed - The scheduled maintenance has been completed.

Scheduled - Our supplier Vevox has informed us that the Vevox system will be placed under maintenance for system upgrades on Sunday 7th June between 07:00-08:00.

Disruption to University Staff and Student Portals (MyDay)

Monitoring - A fix has been implemented by our supplier and we are monitoring the results.

Investigating - We have been made aware of disruption to accessing the University's staff and student online portals which run from the MyDay system.

Some users are seeing the pages hang whilst initially loading.

Scheduled - The supplier of the internet services to the University's accommodation have informed us that will be carrying out essential maintenance on Thursday 4th June between 00:00 and 06:00. During this time frame those in accommodation can expect an outage to the internet lasting approximately 4 hours.
